Removal and installation of a front bumper

The front bumper is calculated in such a manner that it without damages bears blow at speed of the car to 4 km/h. Thus energy of blow is absorbed by an internal aluminum beam and two hydraulic shock-absorbers. Shock-absorbers fasten to two easily removable being deformed elements, so-called shock boxes. At speed to 15 km/h energy is absorbed by deformation of hydraulic shock-absorbers and shock boxes that excludes damage of beams of the engine.

 REMOVAL

1. Unscrew three external bolts of fastening of peaks of wheels at the left and on the right. Take out peaks sideways from a bumper (1). Address to an accompanying illustration.

It is not necessary to remove forward wheels.

2. Disconnect from above and remove a decorative lattice.

3. Unscrew bolts of fastening of Torx T50 of a bumper to shock-absorbers at the left and on the right and remove a bumper.

4. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection of fog lights and/or disconnect hoses of faroochistitel. Press hoses clips that liquid did not follow.

 

 INSTALLATION

1. If it is necessary, complete bumper knot.
2. Establish horizontally a bumper by means of the assistant. Join shtekerny connection of fog lights and/or connect hoses of faroochistitel.
3. Insert a bumper in lateral directing and press it.
4. Expose a bumper parallel to a body and fix screws the moment of 40 Nanometers.

 

5. The distance between a bumper and a body should make And = 5 ± 1 mm.

6. Adjust bumper height turn of plastic inserts (5) in shock-absorbers.

7. Put a decorative lattice, insert rivets and press them aflush.
8. Fix a forward peak of a wheel.
