Movement with the trailer
Movement with the trailer will show increased requirements both to the towing car, and to the driver.
The trailer limits maneuverability, ability to overcoming of liftings, dispersal and braking possibilities, influencing dynamic properties and controllability of the car.
On дышло you will find data on admissible mass of towed cargo and on a permissible load in Specifications. The admissible mass of towed cargo is specified also in the car passport. To consult about possibility of its increase it is possible on any STOA BMW.
Traction and coupling устройство*
If the traction coupling device is established at plant, the car is equipped strengthened подвеской* the back bridge which compensates weight of the traction coupling device and optimizes dynamic characteristics at movement without the trailer.
The optimum design of a running gear of your car guarantees high traffic safety and comfort, and also possibility of sports driving. The running gear allows to tow the trailer with the cargo, not leaving on weight out of a limit resolved for the car in a serial complete set if thus you go with the trailer only to holiday or is a little more often, and your manner of driving corresponds to more difficult service conditions of the car.
At a car doosnashcheniye traction and coupling устройством* with a demountable spherical head it should have BMW certification. And its installation should be made technically competently on firm STOA.
The demountable part of the traction coupling device with a spherical head should be covered with konsistentny greasing; it facilitates its installation and dismantle.
At traction coupling device installation after car release from plant also it is recommended to equip it with the strengthened suspension bracket. It also is a condition for receiving permission to movement (for some types of trailers) with bigger mass of towed cargo. Cars with a regulator of a road gleam to equip with the strengthened suspension bracket unessentially.
Other systems of a suspension bracket offered to free sale in system of trade in autoaccessories, have no BMW certification.
Installation of the traction coupling device limits system effectiveness of the rear bumpers absorbing energy of collisions on small speeds at the expense of elastic deformations.
Stabilizing adaptations are recommended to be applied first of all at towage of heavy trailers. To consult about it it is possible on any STOA BMW.

Before removal and installation of a spherical head a request to familiarize with the enclosed separate instruction.
At cover installation its groove should be inserted at first in directing, and then to press on the top part of a cover.
Permissible load on a support дышла
It is a question of loading from which дышло the trailer presses on a spherical head of the traction coupling device. To define it it is possible, for example, floor household scales.
By the rules operating in Germany, this size should make at least 25 kg.
The admissible size cannot be exceeded, its maximum use however is desirable.
The weight from which дышло the trailer presses on the support, influences behavior of the car. Therefore at movement with the trailer admissible indicators of full weight of the car and load of the road from its back bridge should not be exceeded. Loading capacity partially decreases because of subtraction of weight of the traction coupling device from it. It should not be exceeded and an indicator of admissible lump of the car with the trailer.
Loading of the trailer should be made so that cargo took place as it is possible below and as it is possible closer to a bridge axis.
Upon purchase of the trailer it is recommended to request from the seller guarantee confirmation by the manufacturer of his actual weight and loading capacity.
Movement on lifting
The size of an overcome bias (measured at a sea level) is limited 12 % for safety reasons and in order to avoid creation of hindrances to a transport stream, and at the increased mass of towed cargo (in the resolved cases) - 8 %.
From experience it is known that in process of increase in height above sea level engine capacity falls. At movement on mountain roads it is necessary to remember, in particular, deterioration of ability to a troganiye from a place on lifting in this connection it is necessary to refuse complete use of admissible limits of weight of the car and the trailer.
Movement under a bias
The special attention is demanded by descents of roads. On an entrance to them it is necessary to be switched to a low gear, if necessary up to the first (at AT complete set a control lever is translated up to situation 2) then on small speed to move under a bias.
The maximum speed of movement with the trailer on roads is limited to 80 km/h. Permissible axial load is defined so that at this speed normal trayektorny stability is provided. Even if in other countries movement with higher speed is authorized, all the same for safety reasons it is not necessary to go quicker.
It is possible to eliminate influence of the trailer with only immediate braking.
Pressure of air in tires
Pressure of air in tires of the car and the trailer should be a subject of special attention. For the trailer the norms established by his manufacturer are defining.
If at movement with the trailer the review sector through serially established external rear-view mirrors appears insufficient, rules offer to establish instead of them two mirrors in which the driver can see the trailer to back edge of each of boards. Such mirrors, including with adjustable arms, you can get on STOA BMW.
In transit the trailer giving it is necessary to take into consideration the raised expense of the electric power. Therefore taking into account limited capacity of the accumulator inclusion of consumers of a current should be short.
