Processing of saddles of valves in a head cylinders / grinding in of valves

Processing of saddles of valves is required in case they have wear tracks and an obgoraniye or if the directing were processed. Thus it is necessary to observe values of an adjustment corner and width of a facet. To replace saddles, using usual means it is impossible, since they were established with cooling to - 150°С. Processing of a saddle needs the special machine. This work should be carried out in conditions HUNDRED. Values of corners of processing are given in Specifications.

External diameter of a saddle of the valve (4) corresponds to external diameter of the valve.

 

Grinding in of saddles

At correctly carried out processing of saddles of valves and new valves grinding in of saddles in a head of cylinders is not required.

Valves should get used only fine-grained paste. The sucker which is put on a plate of the valve is applied to grinding in. During grinding in it is necessary to raise often the valve at the same time rotating it further. It excludes formation of furrows on a ground-in surface.

After grinding in it is necessary to remove paste carefully from the valve.


Quality of grinding in can be checked on appearance and fuel. For this purpose the valve insert freely into the overturned head of cylinders and fill in fuel from above in the combustion chamber. After a long time (1 hour) fuel should not follow from the directing. Otherwise grinding in is necessary for repeating.
