Check, removal and installation of the sensor of temperature

Both sensors of temperature take temperature of cooling liquid and soaked-up air and transfer it to the control unit. Sensors the element NTC (contains NTC — Negative temperature factor), reducing the resistance at increase in temperature. At damage of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid the control unit accepts as settlement value resistance at temperature +80°С. Malfunction of sensors at low external temperature and the cold engine leads to complications at start of the engine and its unstable work.

 CHECK

1. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection of the corresponding sensor. Position of sensors is given in the subsection "Removal".
2. Attach to sensor contacts an ohmmeter.
3. Measure resistance and compare it to a preset value. Preset values are given in Specifications.
4. If resistance does not correspond set, remove the sensor.
5. Fix the sensor a wire and lower it in capacity with water so that it did not concern walls. Cool water with ice and after that heat up on a plate. At the set temperature take out the sensor and measure resistance between contacts. If resistance does not correspond set, replace the sensor.
6. If the sensor is serviceable, attach the voltmeter between the tip of the sensor and weight.
7. Include ignition. Demanded value: about 5 V.Esli are not present tension, check serviceability of a wire of a food.
8. Check a weight wire if it is available.
9. If and temperature sensors as it should be, malfunction it is necessary to look for wires somewhere in other place.

Removal of the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For an exception of an effluence of liquid at sensor removal previously partially merge it, address to the Section Replacement of liquid of system of cooling. Check of frost resistance of a cooler. Visual check of system of cooling.
11 Uncover the engine at a soaking-up pipe and disconnect at a head of cylinders accession for case ventilation as it is described in the Section Removal and installation of the inlet pipeline.

2. The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is under the inlet pipeline in a forward part of the engine (the shooter on an accompanying illustration).

3. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection also disconnect the sensor.

 

 INSTALLATION

1. Screw the temperature sensor with a new sealing ring and tighten it the moment of 20 Nanometers.
15 Join shtekerny connection, fix it a clip.
16 Fix a hose of ventilation of a case at a head of cylinders. Establish an engine cover.
17 Fill system with liquid and remove from it air, address to the Section Replacement of liquid of system of cooling. Check of frost resistance of a cooler. Visual check of system of cooling.
18 Pass on the car and check tightness of connection of the sensor of temperature. If necessary tighten connection.
19 Consider contents of memory of malfunctions of the DME block. After elimination of malfunctions clear memory.
Removal of the sensor of temperature of soaked-up air
20 Unscrew screws of fastening and remove a butterfly valve branch pipe, address to the Section Removal and installation of a branch pipe of a butterfly valve.

Do not disconnect a drive of gas and hoses of cooling liquid of heating of a butterfly valve.

2. Press the lock button (the shooter on an accompanying illustration) on the temperature sensor. Thus the sensor take out down from the inlet pipeline.


 INSTALLATION

1. Fix the temperature sensor with new laying by effort of 20 Nanometers.
2. Join shtekerny connection, fix the tip a clip.
3. Establish a butterfly valve branch pipe, address to the Section Removal and installation of a branch pipe of a butterfly valve.
4. Put on soaking-up hose and fix its homutiky.
5. Deduce these memories of malfunctions of the DME block. After elimination of malfunctions remove data from memory.
