Removal and RKPP and AT installation

Here RKPP removal is described. Recommendations about removal of AT are provided separately.

 REMOVAL

1. Disconnect a weight cable from the storage battery. The battery is in a luggage carrier behind the right lateral facing.

At a detachment of the battery the memories given in electronic blocks, for example, memories of malfunctions of the engine are erased. Address to recommendations of the Section Removal and installation of the storage battery.

2. Lift and establish the car on supports and remove system of production of the fulfilled gases, address to the Section Removal and installation of system of release.
3. Disconnect at RKPP a cable of the lever of switching of a reverse gear.

4. Unscrew bolts of fastening and disconnect from RKPP a disk of the kardanny hinge. That the disk was not deformed, turn on only nuts, without touching bolts.

5. Take the driveshaft aside and remove from an aligning pin.

Adhere the driveshaft a wire to a body. Do not allow its change in the hinge.

6. Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the holder of the bottom guard of an impellent compartment (1) and (2) and the heat-shielding screen (3).

7. Remove the working cylinder of a drive of coupling.

Do not disconnect a hydrowire, address to the Section Removal and installation of the working cylinder of coupling.

8. Disconnect from both parties from the stabilizer press bars. Thus hold a wrench a spherical support for turnkey sides. Reject the stabilizer upward.

 

9.

Raise RKPP by means of garage a jack a little. After that unscrew bolts of fastening and disconnect a cross-piece from the bottom (an arrow on an accompanying illustration).

10. Lay between the pallet of a case and a beam of a forward suspension bracket wooden laying or the special BMW 11 7 370 tool not to damage the pallet.

11. Lower a box a garage jack.

12. Bring the second garage jack in a forward part of the engine since after RKPP removal the engine can overturn forward.

13. Remove a lock bracket (4) from draft of switching. Remove washers (5) from both parties of draft and take out draft.

14. Reject upward a screw-driver a finger of draft of switching. Take out a finger.

Automatic transmission

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a drive cable at AT, address to the Section Adjustment of a drive of gear shifting.
2. Rasstykuyte shtekerny connection at AT, having opened a stopper.
3. Unscrew bolts of fastening and remove the holder of the oil pipeline going to an oil radiator, at the case pallet.

4. Disconnect the holder (1) oil pipeline at AT. Take out oil pipelines. Address to an accompanying illustration.

For collecting following oil substitute capacity. Hit of pollution in oil pipelines is not allowed. Close them polyethylene and fix rubber rings.

5. Uncover sideways at an opening (1) lower part of the block of cylinders. Unscrew a narrow head one after another three bolts of fastening of the converter of a torque. Watch that bolts did not fall in the block. That bolts remained in a groove, turn the engine for a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a cranked shaft.

6. Bring under AT a garage jack and the corresponding tool. AT should be supported only for a case, instead of for the case pallet.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of AT to the engine. Bolts of fastening are located also, as well as at RKPP.

8. Watch that the converter was not displaced. For this purpose at a case of AT bring pincers the flat party to the converter and press it. If to bring pincers it is impossible, at removal of AT watch that the converter did not slip out AT. Disconnect AT from the engine.

9. Turn out bolts of fastening by Torx head.

10. Disconnect AT from the engine and by means of the assistant take away back.


 INSTALLATION

1. Before installation check coupling, address to the Section Removal, installation and coupling check.
2. Check ease of a course of the bearing of switching off of coupling. Grease the bearing with plastic Molykote Longtherm 2 greasing, address to the Section Removal and installation of the mechanism of switching off of coupling.
3. Grease with a thin layer of plastic Microlude GL 261 greasing shlitsevy grooves of primary shaft of RKPP. Do not put too much greasing. Otherwise it can get on frictional surfaces of coupling that will lead to its unsatisfactory work. The amount of put greasing corresponds to the size of corn grain.
4. Include any transfer.

Check, whether adjusting plugs (1) and (2) between the engine and RKPP stand still.

5. Raise a box and enter it horizontally into coupling. If at installation primary shaft is not fixed in a conducted disk of coupling, turn it behind for a driveshaft flange a hand.

6. Screw bolts of fastening of Torx RKPP to the engine. Do not forget about washers. The moments of an inhaling of bolts of Torx and bolts with a six-sided head are given in Specifications
7. Raise RKPP and fix a cross-piece the moment given in Specifications.
8. Establish the working cylinder of a drive of coupling, address to the Section Removal and installation of the working cylinder of coupling.
9. Grease fingers of draft of switching with plastic Kluber Polylub GLY 801 greasing and insert. A stopper take away back.
10. Insert draft. Put on a finger of a washer and fix a lock washer. For RKPP further execute paragraphs, since the item 9 following "A performance order" for automatic transmission.

Automatic transmission

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Turn the torque converter so that openings at plates showed in the center of openings of a flywheel. Enter into a plate the special tool (opravka).

2. At interface of the engine to AT three levels of fastening on the converter of a torque should coincide with three ledges on levels of a flywheel of the engine. To combine them then it is impossible. It can lead to damages.

3. Establish AT and carefully insert an opravka into an opening on a lead. After transmission fastening an opravka turn out.

4. Clean pincers at a case of AT and screw three bolts of fastening of the converter in AT openings. Tighten bolts the moment of 45 Nanometers. At replacement of bolts apply only the original.

5. Remove caps from oil pipelines and connect oil pipelines to AT with new consolidations. Fix holders of oil pipelines.
6. Fix holders of an oil pipeline at the pallet of a case of the engine.
7. Join shtekerny connection at AT. Fix it.
8. Establish a cable of a drive of AT and adjust it, address to the Section Adjustment of a drive of gear shifting.
9. Fill AT with oil, address to the Section Check of level and replacement of oil of automatic transmission.
10. Establish the driveshaft, address to the Section Removal and driveshaft installation.
11. Fix AT cross-piece on the bottom and transmissions by the moment of 20 Nanometers. Clean a garage jack.
12. Fix the heat-shielding screen.
13. Establish system of production of the fulfilled gases, address to the Section Removal and installation of system of release.
14. Fix the stabilizer on press bars new being self-stopped nuts the moment of 60 Nanometers.
15. Fix the bottom guard of an impellent compartment.
16. Attach a weight cable to the storage battery. Establish hours. Program radio receiver stations.
