The car can be equipped with automatic 5-step transmission. Automatic transmission has electronic and hydraulic management of gear shifting (so-called “EH” - management). It means that the system of hydraulics of AT has the electronic control unit which depending on speed and loading of the engine chooses the right time gear shiftings.

For optimum adaptation to individual characteristics of the driver and traffic conditions of AT has an adaptive control system (AGS). At a transfer choice system along with various conditions, such as, movement uphill or downhill, with the trailer, on the equal road or faltering considers also management style. At this AGS analyzes moving of a pedal of gas, speed, cross-section acceleration (movement on turn) and delay when braking.

On the basis of received information the system defines type of the driver and classifies it on one of four programs which are available in a control system. Programs share on especially economic “XE” - the program, the E and S programs and on the sports XS program. The drivers inclined to strongly pronounced sports management style, establish the selector of a choice of a mode in situation "4". On the equal road also additional winter program of movement increasing coupling of the car with the road and stability of movement is automatically connected.

Steptronic - system with AGS and step-by-step switching

Some models of the car are equipped with AT Steptronic control system. Thus there is a short coulisse with step-by-step gear shifting. Such gear shifting is accepted in a car - and motorcycle sport.

In a mode of automatic equipment which at advance has only a step of "D", there is an automatic switching of five transfers by means of an adaptive control system. In the left coulisse the driver chooses transfers any way. If it in the left path changes a mode with “D” to “M”, the established transfer is maintained. If it presses the selector forward in the direction “+”, the check point is switched to higher transfer if in the direction “-”, it is switched to lower transfer.

Contrary to manual switching of Steptronic is more comfortable and will exclude such mistakes at management as inadmissible switchings and inclusion on lower transfer at high turns of the engine. At dispersal without manual intervention of the driver the system before falling of number of turns of the engine is automatically switched to higher step. At dispersal by means of a pedal kik-Down without inclusion by means of the selector surely occurs transfer switching on the minimum possible.

At car movement without engine participation the Steptronic system is automatically switched to the 3rd transfer to provide necessary effort of the engine at its connection.
For an assessment of kind of work of AT and search of malfunctions the corresponding experience and the special tool is required. For this reason in the real Management AT removal, adjustment of a drive of management and oil replacement is described only.
